Like many of our customers, we are from the UK, and although we enjoy living in Australia, we miss some of our favourite things from the motherland. Several years ago I had two shocking experiences! One day I went into a “British Shop” and paid $3.95 for 100 grams of bonbons. On another occasion I went to buy a packet of Jaffa Cakes but put them back on the shelf as I couldn’t bring myself to part with $9.95 for 12 Jaffa Cakes.
This got me thinking, surely we could bring products from the UK direct to our shop, cut out the middle men and sell UK products for everyday prices.
You will find in our store a range of UK groceries, drinks and confectionery – all at prices that don’t break the bank. We benefit from long-standing relationships with our suppliers in Britain and tap into their special promotions, which means our customers receive even bigger savings. For example, we now have Terry’s Chocolate Oranges selling for $3.95.
Some of our UK products – such as our biscuits from Burtons, Fox’s, Bolands, Crawfords and McVities – are now being bought by customers of all backgrounds. They recognise them as good quality products that can be trusted and that are competitively priced.
